NCP Panel Rejects Sharad Pawar’s Resignation
NCP | Mumbai/Hyderabad, May 5 (Maxim News): The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) panel unanimously opposed the resignation of the party Chief Sharad Pawar and demanded he continues as their party chief.
In 1999, Sharad Pawar founded the NCP party, but at 82 years old Pawar has recently made it clear that he will step down from his party status. In this context, a meeting was held today at the party office in Mumbai. Sharad Pawar’s daughters Supriya Sule and Ajitg Pawar attended the meeting. Senior NCP leader Praful Patel said that Sharad Pawar will continue as the current NCP Chief.
A unanimous resolution was passed in today’s meeting. In that resolution, Sharad Pawar was asked to continue as the National President of NCP. Praful Patel revealed that everyone in the party is against his resignation from the post of president. He said that they want Sharad Pawar to continue as the party president, he should respect the sentiments of lakhs and he should continue as the president. (Maxim News)
