Godavari Water Level Surge: First Warning By This Evening

Bhadrachalam/Hyderabad, July 20 (Maxim News): Godavari water level is gradually increasing at Bhadrachalam. At 11 am today, the water level is flowing past 41.3 feet. Officials will issue the first emergency alert if the water level reaches 43 feet.

Due to the heavy rainfall, the devotees are facing difficulties as the rainwater has entered the vicinity of the Ram Temple. On the other hand, the Annadana program had to be stopped due to flood water reaching the Annadana Sairam.

In the wake of the Godavari flood, district Collector Priyanka is alerting the machinery from time to time. Control rooms have been set up in the Tehsildar offices of Kothagudem, Bhadrachalam, Charla, Dummugudem, Bhadrachalam, Burgampadu, Ashwapuram, Manuguru, and Pinapaka Tehsildar offices along with the collectorate to work 24 hours a day. He said that there is a possibility of issuing the first danger warning at Bhadrachalam this evening. They want to take protective measures so that no life is harmed. It was ordered to move the people of the flooded areas to the rehabilitation centers without stopping till the flood water reached. People are advised not to try to cross the overflowing streams and bends. If necessary, travel should be postponed. anglers are advised not to go for fishing and keep the cattle at home without letting them graze.

On the other hand, the Godavari and Pranahita rivers are raging at the confluence of Kaleshwaram Triveni, a famous holy place in Telangana. the rains in the upper parts of Telangana and Maharashtra are causing a death toll. At present, the water level at Kaleswaram is 9,980 meters. It will increase.

In Jayashankar’s Bhupalapalli district, the life of the people was disrupted due to incessant rain. Coal production has completely stopped in Tadicharla open cast mine. Between the villages of Keshavapur and Pegadapalli, the Peddagu is flowing in the middle of the road from Kataram to Medaram. In view of the rising water level, the police stopped the traffic from Peddagu to prevent any untoward incident. (Maxim News)
