Telangana Ranks Second In High Inflation In The Country
Delhi/Hyderabad, Aug 15 (Maxim News): Telangana ranks second in the country in high inflation in rural areas, this has been revealed by the Central Statistics department which monitors the prices of essential commodities
According to the Central Statistics Department which has released door-wise statistics for all the states in both Rural and Urban areas explaining how much prices have increased in July this year compared to July last year. Jharkhand is at the first position with 9.91 percent in rural areas, while Telangana is in the second position with 9.72 percent. While the national average of inflation in rural areas is 7.63 percent, It is noteworthy that it is almost 2 percent higher in Telangana.
In the urban areas of the state, the prices of essentials have increased drastically. Telangana ranked fifty in the country with 7.61 percent in Urban inflation. While the National average in this category is 7.20, in Telangana it is 7.61 percent.
VEGETABLE PRICES ARE ON THE RISE
The prices of vegetables have gone up a lot in the last year. While the vegetable price index was 168.6 points in July, it has increased to 227 points by this July. Inflation in this sector increased the highest at 34.64 percent. turmeric, chilli, and spices are next. Their price index rose from 191 points to 234 during the year. Inflation was recorded at 22.21 percent. Inflation of pulses, milk and milk products was 12.65 and 8.60 percent.
According to the Central Statistics Department, the prices of chicken eggs, meat, fish, clothes, footwear, ready-made goods, grains, and other essentials have increased from a minimum of 2 percent to a maximum of 10 percent during the year.
The housing construction sector in towns and cities has also been affected a lot. The inflation in this sector s 4.47 percent due to the increase in the prices of raw materials.
the top 5 states in Rural inflation are Jaharkhand 9.91 percent, Telangana 9.72 percent, Haryana 9.46, Tamil Nadu 9.41 percent, and Rajasthan 9.30 percent. Similarly the top 5 states in Urban inflation, Uttarakhand 10.46 percent, Rajasthan 10.40 percent, Odisha 9.90, Tamil Nadu 8.67 and Telangana 7.61 percent. (Maxim News)
