Twin Expos HIMTEX and IPEC Opened

Hyderabad: Hyderabad International Trade Expositions Ltd (HITEX) is organizing INDIA PROCESS EXPO & CONFERENCE (IPEC 2023) concurrently with Hyderabad International Machine Tool & Engineering Expo (HIMTEX 2023) at Hitex Madhapur.  These twin expos will continue for three days till the 21st of August.

Technological superiority and the latest innovations in machinery manufacturing and the machine tool industry are being showcased informed Mr. Srikanth TG, Business Head of HITEX.  Like smart cities, smart people, machinery, and tools too are becoming smart and intelligent.   The machine tool industry of the future will produce machines that are smarter, more easily networked, and less prone to error, he added.

These expos were inaugurated on Friday by Chief Guest Sri. E. Venkat Narsimha Reddy, VC & MD (FAC), TSIIC ad Guests of Honour, Mr. D. Chandra Sekhar, Addl Development Commissioner, MSME Development Institute, Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India and Sri. Sudhir Chiplunkar, Chief Operating Officer, L&T Metro Rail (Hyd) Ltd.

Addressing the gathering immediately after the inauguration, Mr. E Venkat Narsimha Reddy said Hyderabad is shaping up well on all fronts.  Hyderabad Metro Rail Project will begin next month.  The state cabinet has also taken the decision to connect our Outer Ring Roads with national highways.  Two National Highways Kashmir to Kanyakumari and Nagpur to Bangalore pass through the city.  A regional ring road will also come up next to ORR.  The process of acquiring land is on.  It will take concrete shape in the next three to four years, the officer said. 

The government of Telangana is doing a great job of improving infrastructure as well as easing traffic congestion.  We need one more airport on the north side of the city, he said.  

Mr. D. Chandra Sekhar said that the MSME industry has extended funding support to 85 exhibitors out of 285 of HIMTEC and IPEC.  The support was extended to the tune of Rs 1.5 lakh per unit.  The Ministry itself is planning to organize 20 exhibitions to help MSMEs

Sri. Sudhir Chiplunkar, Chief Operating Officer, L&T Metro Rail (Hyd) Ltd, said they were very much part of the Hyderabad growth story.  L & T invested its single largest investment of INR 18,000 crore in Hyderabad he said.

Between the two expos, 285 exhibitors exhibited products from 13 different countries.   

It is the second expo for IPEC.  It is the platform for machinery and equipment manufacturers as well as service providers to showcase their technological superiority, and the latest innovations from the various core sector industries like Pharma, Chemical, Biotechnology, Food & Agro Processing, Petrochemicals, Minerals, Power, Steel, Cement, etc. The exhibition aims to play a catalytic role in transforming the process engineering landscape of the Core Sectors in India, the event is designed to provide a comprehensive knowledge-sharing and business-matching platform for the process Industry of India.

It is the 7th edition of HIMTEX.  It is showcasing the latest technologies covering Machine Tools, Machine Tool Accessories, Cutting Tools, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Material Handling Equipment, Metrology Solutions, General Engineering Products, and many more.  Buyer Seller Meetings with suppliers are being organized to facilitate a better understanding of the products/services.

Government Of Telangana, MSME – DFO, Indian Institution of Plant Engineers (IIPE), Process Plant and Machinery Association Of India (PPMAI), Indian Institute Of Chemical Engineers (IICHE), All India Council for Robotics & Automation (AICRA), the India Electronics Semiconductor Association (IESA), The Federation Of Telangana Chambers Of Commerce And Industry (FTCCI), Federation Of Telangana Small Industries Association (FETSIA) are supporting IPEC Expo.

The supporting organizations of HIMTEX are the government Of Telangana, MSME – DFO, the Machine Tool Manufacturers Association (MTMA), Ludhiana Machine Tool Manufacturers Association, Ludhiana (LMTMA), The Federation Of Telangana Chambers Of Commerce And Industry (FTCCI), SIDBI.

The important companies which are participating in IPEC are Industrial Boilers Ltd., Uniflow Controls, Euromax International, Smank, Akrivia Automation, Brightech Valves, Chemdist, L&T Valves, Steam House, C.R.I. Pumps, Cheema Boilers, Thermax, Rotex Manufacturers, Finepac Structures, and many more.

The key exhibitors of the HIMTEX expo are GMT Engineers, KTM Technology & Innovations, Bhavya Machine Tools, Komter, Philips Machine Tools, BFW, UCAM, Mitutoyo, SLTL, Suresh Indu Laser, Motic Hongkong, Guindy Machine Tools, Vel Machines, Elesa & Ganter India and a pavilion from Startup Odisha.
