Role of RPs is crucial in disbursing loans to all the deserving ones: Mayor

Hyderabad, August 28: City Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi has ordered the officials to enforce the dress code for the distribution of various types of loans to women who are eligible. Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi along with Khairatabad Legislator Dana Nagender, Additional Commissioner of Urban Community Development Department reviewed the Banjara Hills CMTIS on Monday.

On this occasion, the Mayor said… In the context of the implementation of various schemes by the state government for the economic and social development of women, measures should be taken to reach everyone who is eligible. He said that GHMC is working hard to support women empowerment. Apart from women, they want to work hard to provide assistance to senior citizens and differently abled (disabled) beyond the target. Similarly, GHMC has received good recognition for the implementation of PM Swanidhi given to street vendors in the city, and similarly, she requested that many schemes implemented by the UCD department should also be given good recognition.

Dana Nagender said… women were asked to provide participation in various sectors apart from financial power and bank loans. He said that GHMC has gained a good reputation due to giving priority to women in the management of greenery in the colony.

Additional Commissioner Chandrakant Reddy said… this financial year the target is to form 1713 self help societies in the city and so far 515 groups with 48,564 members have been formed.

Later in this meeting, a two minute silence was observed for the death of Sanita worker Sunitha, who was hit by a college bus while on duty in Rankoti on Monday morning.
