Blood Donation Camp Has Been Organized At MANUU

Hyderabad: As part of Azad Day Celebrations, the NCC and NSS Units of Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) today organized a blood donation camp in collaboration with Victoria Welfare Society and Srikara Blood Bank at the University Health Centre.  

Col. B. Ravindra Rao, Commanding Officer 1, Telangana R.T Battery NCC, Hyderabad Group inaugurated the camp at MANUU Health Centre. Dr. Khutubuddin Ansari, I/c Health Center spoke on the benefits of blood donation.

With more than 100 donors, a significant contingent of students, NCC Cadets, NSS Volunteers, and staff enthusiastically stepped forward to donate blood emphasizing the values of community service and compassion. The event saw the participation of several notable university staff and faculty members. The camp was meticulously supervised by the dedicated doctors and staff of the Health Center, MANUU.

Meanwhile, a literary reading event dedicated to the memory of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad was organized yesterday evening at the university’s Amphitheatre. Students – Mahboob Alam, Rahat Firoz, Meraj Alam, Fatima Sajida Khanam, Qamar Razza, Shahla Nigar, Mu’thsm Saad Khan, Aysha Ishtiyaq, Mohammad Yusuf, and Muzaffar Imam presented captivating excerpts from his writings.  

An Elocution Competition was also organized as part of the celebrations. In English Elocution, Muhammad Yusuf stood first whereas in Hindi Elocution Gulam Gaus Sheikh secured first position, and in Urdu Elocution Mazhar Subhani stood first.
