Congress candidate Mujeebullah Shareef vows to revitalize the Old City

Hyderabad, November 20: Congress candidate Mujeebullah Shareef urged the residents of Hyderabad’s Old City to give his party a chance to transform the area into a vibrant and thriving hub.

Shareef made this impassioned plea during a door-to-door campaign in the Moghalpura and Sultani Shahi areas. He lamented the neglect that these historic quarters have endured for decades.

“Moghalpura and Sultani Shahi are integral to Hyderabad’s rich heritage, yet they have been overlooked for far too long,” Shareef asserted. “The entire Old City, especially the Charminar constituency, deserves a facelift, and only the Congress can deliver it.”

Shareef emphasized the critical need for improved civic amenities and a grievance redressal mechanism. He decried the apathy of the MIM leadership, which, he contended, has condemned generations to a life of deprivation.

“Under the MIM’s rule, three generations have suffered in silence, accepting their circumstances as unchangeable,” Shareef declared. “It’s time to break this cycle of complacency and demand the quality of life we deserve.”

Mujeebullah Shareef said that the Congress party has come up with six guarantees which would improve the lives of all citizens. They are aimed at easing the burden of inflation and other heavy taxes levied by the BJP Govt at the Centre and BRS Govt in Telangana. He said that the next Congress would provide gas cylinders for Rs 500 and all women would be paid a monthly amount of Rs 2,500.

He said that the next Congress government would modernise Hyderabad, especially the Old City. He said health care infrastructure would be improved by setting up various hospitals like a modern maternity hospital, ENT hospital, and eye hospital. He said a Quli Qutub Shah Urban Development Authority would be strengthened with funds and new projects while SETWIN would be upgraded to run new courses to generate employment for the jobless youth. Mujeebullah Shareef expressed confidence that he would create history by winning the Charminar seat while the Congress party would form the next government in Telangana. (Maxim News)
