Hyderabad Gears Up for Smooth Election Day: DEO

Hyderabad, Nov 28 (Maxim News): The city of Hyderabad is all set for a smooth and hassle-free Election Day on November 30. The District Election Officer (DEO) and GHMC Commissioner, Ronald Rose, expressed his confidence in the arrangements made for the upcoming Assembly elections.

Rose emphasized the importance of voter participation and urged all eligible voters to cast their ballots. He reminded citizens that every vote counts and plays a crucial role in shaping the future of Hyderabad.

A total of 312 candidates will be contesting across 15 Assembly constituencies in the district. Voting will take place at 4,119 polling stations conveniently located across the city. Over 20,000 officials have been deployed to ensure the efficient conduct of the elections.

To further streamline the voting process, 25% more Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) than necessary have been procured. Home voting, introduced for the first time, has received a positive response from voters. Additionally, a ‘Vote For Sure‘ campaign has been launched to encourage voter participation.

A new app will be introduced to help voters assess the queue at polling stations, allowing them to plan their voting day effectively. The app, hosted on the GHMC platform, will provide real-time information on queue lengths and include links to Google Maps for directions to the polling centers.
