Non-Locals Must Leave and Reach Their Constituencies, Section 144 From 5 PM Today

Hyderabad, Nov, 28 (Maxim News): The chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Vikas Raj has advised all the non-locals staying with their relatives or in the lodges etc. For some other work to leave the place and reach their respective Constituencies by 5.00 pm today. Section 144 will come into force across the state.  

The Chief Electoral Officer has conducted a review on the elections to be held in Telangana on November 30, in this review, CEO and top police officers and election officials of all the districts attended the review meeting. A review was made on the prevention of temptations and the measures to be taken on the polling day.

Election Security Measures:

The Election Commission have made massive security arrangements to prevent any untoward incident during the election. Central forces have also come to Telangana. Additional force has been deployed in troubled and Maoist-affected areas.

Campaign Phase Ends Today:

The curicial campaign phase of the assembly elections will end today. The campaign will end at 5 pm. Since polling is on November 30, the silence period will start 48 hours before. Section 144 will come into force across the state.  

The Election Commission has already made it clear that all those who do not belong to the respective constituencies should not be in the respective constituencies. With that, many parties will hold rallies, road shows and corner meetings along with public meetings on the last day.  (Maxim News)
