DBT-TSCOST Sponsored Skill Vigyan Program Held At Osmania University

Hyderabad, Dec 24 (Maxim News): Osmania University: A two-week DBT-TSCOST sponsored Skill Vigyan Program was conducted at the Center for Plant Molecular Biology, Osmania University. 

The Valedictory Program was held on 23rd December 2023 at the CPMB. Vice Chancellor of Osmania University Prof. D. Ravinder was the Chief Guest and addressed the gathering about the importance of exchange of ideas in the modern world. Prof. Ahmed Kamal of BITS-Pilani Hyderabad was the Guest of Honour and explained the importance of practical training for the faculty. 

During this programme 20 faculty from UG and PG colleges and Universities across the country were trained in advanced areas of life sciences and biotechnology. Director of CPMB Dr. Rama Krishna Kancha has apprised that the participants who were also trained in advanced instrumentation, entrepreneurship and intellectual property rights along with hands-on practicals. The participants have expressed their delight in attending various lectures delivered by the faculty from central university and national institutes.

During the program Former Director of CPMB Prof. K. V. Rao was felicitated for the award of Senior Scientist of the National Academy of Sciences India to be availed at the CPMB in the next three years. (Maxim News)
