Three Drug Smugglers Held: 130 Kg Ganja Seized

Hyderabad, Jan 9 (Maxim News): In a major bust, the Commissioner’s Task Force and Bowenpally Police joined forces to apprehend three notorious ganja smugglers and seize a staggering 130 kilograms of the contraband. The operation, hailed as a significant victory in the fight against drug trafficking, unfolded yesterday when officials intercepted the suspects at Diamond Point, Bowenpally.

The apprehended individuals, identified as Jai Singh Bhati, Rup Chand Kachawa, and Prem Kumar Parmar, were attempting to transport the ganja from Rajahmundry to Medchal in two vehicles – a Bolero and a Maruti Suzuki Swift. Both vehicles, along with three cell phones, were promptly seized by the authorities.

DCP Rohini Priyadarshini, said that as per the investigations revealed a meticulously planned operation spearheaded by Bhati, a businessman from Tirumala Noodles Company. He, along with accomplices Kachawa (owner of Balaji Ram Kumar Kirana Shop) and Parmar, had procured the ganja from a supplier named Ranjan in Rajahmundry with the help of two facilitators, Mangilal and Dharmendra. The trio had pooled a sum of Rs. 6,00,000 to finance this illegal venture.

Their plan involved doubling the price of the ganja upon reaching Hyderabad. However, their nefarious scheme was thwarted by the vigilant police action at Diamond Point. While Bhati, Kachawa, and Parmar were apprehended red-handed, the main supplier Ranjan and his associates Mangilal and Dharmendra remain at large but are actively being pursued by law enforcement.

The successful operation, conducted under the supervision of senior police officials and the guidance of DCP Rohini Priyadarshini, involved meticulous collaboration between the Commissioner’s Task Force, South-East Zone Team, and Bowenpally Police Station. (Maxim  News)
