Hyderabad, Oct. 5: Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials arrested a GHMC town planning supervisor on Monday for allegedly accepting a ₹4 lakh bribe at the Mehdipatnam circle office.
The official, identified as Tulasiram Sunitha, works as a Town Planning Supervisor in GHMC Circle 33, Golkonda Zone. According to media reports citing the ACB, she allegedly demanded money from a complainant seeking clearance for building construction work.
ACB officials reportedly caught her while she was accepting ₹4 lakh in cash. They seized the alleged bribe amount and searched the office for documents and records linked to the case.
ACB Probes GHMC Building Clearance Bribery Allegation
Reports differ on the total amount allegedly demanded. Some accounts said the demand was ₹8 lakh, with ₹4 lakh being accepted as the first instalment. The ACB’s further findings are awaited.
Investigators are examining records connected to the building-related work and gathering evidence. A separate report said officials also found ₹2.5 lakh in unaccounted cash during the search.

The case concerns allegations of bribery in an official process. The allegations against the officer remain subject to investigation and legal proceedings.
