  • Basti Dawakhanas For Poor In Hyderabad: Minister Ponnam Prabhakar started primary school and urban hospital in Musheerabad

Hyderabad, March 04: Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi said that 288 dispensaries have been set up in the city so far to protect the health of the poor. Construction of a new building of the Urban Primary Health Center at an estimated cost of Rs 3 crore in Mushirabad on Monday, Rs 57. Mayor Gadwal Vijayalaxmi along with State Transport, BC Welfare Department, Hyderabad District In-charge Minister Ponnam Prabhakar initiated the repairs of the primary school compound wall, toilets and drinking water which were undertaken at a cost of lakhs.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said that since the state government is planning to make special efforts for the development of infrastructure to increase the image of Hyderabad, it will work hard to provide better education and healthcare to the residents of the city.

Speaking on this occasion, the Mayor said that Basti Hospitals are providing health services to the poor in the city. He said that while there are 150 wards in Hyderabad city, the government aims to establish two Basti Davakhanas for each ward, and so far 288 Basti Davakhanas have been established and steps will be taken to establish the remaining Basti Davakhanas soon. The mayor said that many types of tests and medicines are being distributed to the poor in Basti clinics and these are being used by poor people in many parts of the city.
