Padma Rao Goud To Contest From Secunderabad LS Constituency On Behalf Of BRS

Hyderabad, March 23 (Maxim News) BRS Chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao announced the sitting MLA and former minister padma Rao Goud as the candidate for the Secunderabad Lok Sabha constituency.  

Padmarao Goud who worked as a corporator till 1991, joined the then TRS now BRs in 2001 from the Congress.  He was elected as a corporator in 2002 on the car symbol while serving as the president of the party Greater Hyderabad.  he was elected MLA from Secunder in 2004.  In the 2009 assembly elections, Padma Rao Goud contested in the Sanathnagar Constituency and was defeated by Congress leader Marri Shashidhar Reddy.  After the formation of Telangana, he won the Secunderabad MLA in 2014.  He held the responsibilities as Minister of Excise, Sports and Youth Affairs.  He won the 2018 elections and became the Deputy Speaker.  He won as MLA from Secunderabad in 2023.  (Maxim News)
