DCP Radha Kishan Rao Sent To 14-Judicial Custody
Hyderabad, March 29: In a significant development related to Case No. 243/2024 under investigation at Panjagutta Police Station, Hyderabad, authorities apprehended another individual on March 29th, 2024.

The Police arrested Mr. P. Radha Kishan Rao, son of retired Superintendent of Police (SP) P. Ramgopal Rao. Mr. Rao previously held the position of Deputy Commissioner of Police (OSD) for the Hyderabad City Police Task Force.
According to reports, Mr. Rao was called in for questioning at Banjara Hills Police Station the day before his arrest.

During questioning, he reportedly admitted involvement in various illegal activities connected to the case.
These activities allegedly included misusing official resources for personal profiling, conducting unauthorized surveillance, biased actions, illegal movement of funds during elections, and collaborating with others to destroy evidence through vandalism.

Following his confession, Mr. Rao was formally arrested at 8:00 am on March 29th.
He was subsequently presented before the Honorable XIV Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate for a remand hearing.

As per legal procedures, Mr. Rao has been remanded to judicial custody until April 12, 2024, and is currently incarcerated at Chanchalguda Prison.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police, West Zone, Hyderabad City Police, confirmed in a statement that the investigation into Case No. 243/2024 remains ongoing.
