Hyderabad Police Seized Rs. 11.71 Lakhs Cash In 24 Hours

Hyderabad, May 9 (Maxim News): As part of enforcing the Election Code of Conduct, authorities in Hyderabad district seized Rs. 11,71,500  cash during the last 24 hours, from Wednesday 6 AM to Thursday 6 AM.

District Election Officer (DEO) and GHMC Commissioner Ronald Rose reported the seizures. He also informed that other goods worth Rs. 1,78,912 and 157.46 liters of liquor were confiscated. Six cases were registered, and seven people were arrested.

The DEO received and resolved 11 complaints regarding cash and other items. He added that nine FIRs (First Information Reports) were registered.

Since the Election schedule was released, various enforcement teams have seized a total of Rs. 22,62,68,812 in cash and goods worth Rs. 17,95,76,181.80.

Liquor: 26,990.26 liters seized; 303 cases registered; 301 people arrested; Flying squads: Seized Rs.5,91,28,955 cash and 3,57,78,042 in other items.  Other police authorities/IT enforcement teams: Seized Rs. 16,41,45,617 cash and Rs.13,60,98,140 in other goods.

SST teams: Seized Rs. 29,94,240 cash and Rs. 77 lakh worth of other goods.

A total of 643 complaints regarding cash and other items have been received and addressed. FIRs have also been registered against 415 people. Additionally, action was taken based on 50 complaints received regarding violations of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC). (Maxim News)
