Hyderabad Man, Dog Attacked by Neighbors in Brutal Assault, Arrested

Hyderabad, May 17: Five people have been arrested in Hyderabad after a vicious attack on a man and his pet husky.

The incident, which took place on May 14th, stemmed from an earlier altercation between neighbors. On May 8th, Srinath’s husky reportedly approached Dhanunjay and his brother-in-law, leading to a complaint with the police.

Things turned violent a week later when Srinath was again walking his dog. The husky barked at neighbors, who along with Dhanunjay and his relative, retaliated with a planned attack.

Srinath, his dog, and his wife who tried to intervene, all suffered injuries.

The Madhura Nagar police have registered a case under Sections 147, 148, and 307 r/w 149 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 11(1) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 (attempt to murder, animal cruelty, and rioting).
