Accused In Bomb Threat Call To Praja Bhavan Arrested

Hyderabad, May 29 (Maxim News): Hyderabad Task Force Police have made progress in the Praja Bhavan Bomb threat case within 24 hours, the accused was arrested and brought to Hyderabad. The accused has been identified as Ramakrishna of Guntur.

On Tuesday morning, Ramakrishna called the control room saying that a bomb had been planted in Praja Bhavan and Nampally Court, confusing the officer.

However, the police investigation revealed that Ramakrishna became a slave after quarreling with his wife. The police concluded that the wife called in distress as she was away.

It may be recalled that this unknown person called 100 and said that there was a bomb in Praja Bhavan, where the family of Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka lives, the state police department was immediately alerted.

The intelligence, security wing, and Hyderabad City Security Wing have deployed police officers. Bomb and dog squad teams immediately reached Praja Bhavan and carried out inspections at every step. Panjagutta ACP Manohar Kumar reached the spot with his staff and took stock of the situation.

From the entrance of the Praja Bhavan, all the rooms inside the residence, bedrooms, kitchen, dining hall, visitor halls, Deputy Chief Minister’s chamber, gym, garden, and surrounding areas were checked by the dog squad team. Similarly, the police thoroughly examined the vehicles used by Bhatti Vikramarka’s convoy and family members.

After that, they inspected the Ammavari Temple in Praja Bhavan. Inspections were conducted in the surrounding areas of Praja Bhavan for about three hours.

Later, as the call was found to be a fake, bomb squad and dog squad personnel came out of Praja Bhavan. (Maxim News)
