Delhi/Hyderabad, Aug 6 (Maxim News):  A key development has taken place in the Delhi Liquor Scam case which has created a sensation across the country. BRS MLC Kavitha withdrew the default bail petition in the Rouse Avenue Court.

Kavitha’s default bail hearing was adjourned at Rouse Avenue Court yesterday. Judge Kaveri Baweja expressed impatience as Kavitha’s lawyers did not attend the hearing. Judge Kaveri Baweja said that the petition should be withdrawn if the arguments are not forthcoming. The court said that the case will be adjourned for tomorrow and the final hearing will be held. Kavitha’s lawyers withdrew the case today given tomorrow’s hearing.

On July 6, Kavitha’s lawyers filed a default bail petition claiming that there were errors in the CBI charge sheet and that she was entitled to default bail. CBI said that there was no mistake in the charge sheet. The CBI charge sheet has already been considered by the court on July 22. The Rouse Avenue Court will hear the charge sheet on August 9, BRS MLC Kalwakuntla Kavitha in the Delhi Liquor Scam case now has no way of getting out of Tihar Jail. The Rouse Avenue Court, which has already dismissed the bail petition several times, postponed the hearing of the default bail petition on Monday. BRS MLC Kavitha has withdrawn the default bail petition in Rouse Avenue Court.

HC dismisses Kejriwal’s plea challenging CBI arrest in liquor policy scam

The Delhi High Court on Monday dismissed Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s plea challenging his arrest by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the case linked to the alleged Delhi liquor policy scam. Reacting to the order, the Aam Aadmi Party said it will move to the Supreme Court.

The plea was mentioned on Monday before the bench of Justice Neena Bansal Krishna, which stated that the judgment would be pronounced at 2.30 pm.

The same bench had reserved its order on Kejriwal’s regular bail plea on July 29. Additionally, on July 17, the court reserved its order on Kejriwal’s plea challenging his arrest by the CBI in the same case.
