Minister Sitakka questioned whether it was wrong for women to peel ginger on buses, asking, “Where are we, sister? We didn’t know buses were arranged for this purpose. We’ve always traveled normally.”
She further criticized KTR’s remarks, stating, “It would have been better if he had simply said that more buses would be provided. Instead, he made derogatory comments suggesting that women engage in stitching, knitting, break dancing, and other activities on buses. What kind of language is that against women?”
