Hyderabad Rains: GHMC Commissioner Urge People Not To Come Out
Hyderabad, September 1, 2024: Because of incessant rains, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) commissioner Amrapali Kata on Sunday urged people not to step out unless essential.

In the wake of the announcement of a red alert by the Meteorological Department across Greater Hyderabad, people should stay at home and go out only if necessary. Children and the elderly should not go out alone under any circumstances and should not walk on the roads.
He said that the GHMC officials are alert for the safety of the people of the city and are taking all necessary measures.

People were asked not to open manholes and to inform the GHMC control room if they were open. The commissioner asked the officials to be vigilant in the wake of rains and contact helpline 040- 21111111 or 9000113667(DRF) for emergency assistance.
