Telangana Rains: No Leave To Doctors And Hospitals Staff
Hyderabad, Sept 1 (Maxim News): As heavy rains are falling in the state and seasonal diseases are on the rise, Health Minister Damodara Rajanarsimha met with the senior officials of the Health department at the Secretariat today.

Director of Medical Education, Vani ordered Telangana Vaidya Vidhana Parishad Commissioner Ajay Kumar and Director of Health Ravinder Naik not to grant leave to the staff in the hospitals until the rain subsided. It is suggested that all the doctors and staff should stay at the headquarters and take steps to ensure that everyone attends duties. Pregnant women who are close to the estimated delivery date have been directed to be shifted to hospitals in advance and allocated waiting rooms.
Risk Of Seasonal Diseases Outbreak
Food and accommodation should be provided to the pregnant woman and her accompanying family members. Ambulance services should be available everywhere. Medicine and testing kits should be kept available. He said that care should be taken regarding the food and drinking water provided to the patients. He warned that after the rains subside, there is a risk of an outbreak of fevers as soon as the rains subside.

Panchayat Raj and Municipal Administration Department should be taken for this purpose to create awareness among the people. Care should be taken regarding the food provided to the students in the hostels of medical colleges and nursing colleges. The officials and staff of the concerned department should be alerted to take appropriate precautions in the matter of meals provided to children in Gurukuls (Maxim News)
