New Waqf Bill Aims To Deprive Muslims Properties: Asaduddin Owaisi
Hyderabad, Sept 11 (Maxim News): AIMIM President and Hyderabad MP, Asaduddin Owaisi said by introducing the Waqf (Amendment) Bill- 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi intends to deprive Muslims of their Waqf properties. Asaduddin Owaisi said that Muslims will never support such an arbitrary bill that is aimed at depriving only one community of the country of their properties.

Through this bill, now only two Muslim members will be on the central waqf committee, while in the state waqf boards, there will be no elections, there will just be nominations by the government, said Owaisi. He said that the Hindu community can continue to hold properties by custom and by usage. “Then why does this government want non-Muslims to be planted on waqf boards and properties, ” he asked.
QR CODE STRATEGY TO REGISTER PROTEST AGAINST BILL
Asaduddin Owaisi said that the last date for sending suggestions and objections to the bill is September 13, he said that September 13 falls on Friday, and he asked all Muslims including women to send their objections by using a QR code so that they reach the Joint Parliamentary Committee. He made it clear that the Bill is not in the interest of the Muslim community and is a systematic effort to weaken and dilute the Waqf tribunal.

Owaisi said that they have rejected the 41 proposed amendments as they are detrimental to Muslims. There are over 20 crore Muslims in India and 80 percent of them are against the Waqf Amendment Bill, he asked the Muslims in large numbers to reject the Waqf Amendment Bill proposal. The QR code would allow them to draft a letter of rejection and send it from the scanner’s email ID to the JPC. This was aimed to save time to generate content and draft objections from each person.
