He emphasized that although fun is part of the festival, the use of DJs and loud music detracts from the reverence at the event.

At a recent event, Owaisi urged Milad attendees to pledge not to use DJs at future events. He expressed concern that dancing to DJ music was contrary to the Islamic principles of love and respect.

“If someone insists on using a DJ, please explain that it is against our values,” he said. He emphasized the need for Muslims to refrain from practices that may be incompatible with their traditions, stressing that imitating other cultures can lead to a loss of identity.

Owaisi recalled that the advent of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) brought about a great change, which was symbolized by a thousand-year-old fire extinguisher in Iran.

He warned that the use of DJs at festivals undermines the character of Muslims. “The government should take action to ban DJs at such events,” he urged, suggesting that money spent on music should go to charity instead

He also spoke about the current social situation, and condemned the rhetoric against Muslims in India, specifically referring to the Union Minister’s recent statement accusing madrassas of training militants.
