It is apprehended that if the Existing Waqf Act rendered ineffective and thereupon allowed few powerful to exploit the endowed properties, this will be the last nail in the coffin, he said.

The Chief Minister of the neighboring state  N. Chandra Babu Naidu was consciously aware of the extensive knowledge in Waqf matters of Shafiq Uz Zaman, I.A.S. (Retd.,)  and also considering him an authority in this regard had sent a delegation to his residence at Hyderabad to draft his services.  In turn, the former civil servant extended all possible services in the matter wholeheartedly. The concern shown by C.M. of A.P. with regard to the proposed Waqf Act 2024 testify his intent and concern for the Minorities.

Syed Bandagi Badasha Quadri, the Joint Secretary of All India “Kul Hind” Jamiyyatul Mashaikh, and the elected Wakf Board Member of Telangana Wakf Board through this press note draw the attention of the C.M. in respect of this highly sensitive matter which has ramifications and consequences in the coming elections. Accordingly requesting  Revanth Reddy the C.M. of Telangana to take proactive steps in this regard to allay the apprehensions and anxieties of Muslims.  We may not have any objection if all this provision is also implemented in the Hindu Endowment Act.

He further apprised CM Revanth Reddy that the Muslim community will be overwhelmingly happy if all the provisions of the Hindu Endowments Act are incorporated in the proposed Wakf Amendment Bill, 2024. Therefore the delegation appearing on behalf of the Telangana Government must be advised to insist on the inclusion of all provisions existing in the Hindu Endowment Act in the proposed Wakf Amendment Bill 2024.  (Maxim News)
