Group 1 Protests Continue: Tension In Ashok Nagar

Hyderabad, Oct 20 (Maxim News): Once again a tense atmosphere in Hyderabad’s Ashok Nagar as some candidates protested against the conduct of Group 1 Mains examinations from tomorrow.

The police stopped the students who came on the road to protest. When the students tried to talk to the media, the police arrested the students saying that the press meeting was not allowed. At this time, a heated argument took place between the police and the students. Group 1 victims raised slogans demanding an end to police brutality against the students who had come to protest peacefully.

For the past few days, some candidates have been agitating for the postponement of the Group-1 Mains exams. Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay‘s agitation with the victims on Saturday created a sensation. Recently, when the students came to protest today, the police stopped them. On the other hand, the government has prepared to conduct the exam from tomorrow. Arrangements for this are going on fast. The police said that full security measures are already being taken to prevent any disturbance to law and order.

The Telangana Public Service Commission has completed all the arrangements for the Group-1 Mains Examination.  Mains exams will be held from October 21 to 27.  31,382 candidates who qualified in Group-1 Prelims will write these exams.  Already 90 percent of candidates have downloaded the hall tickets for the final exams.  A total of 31,382 candidates will compete for 563 posts. 

Telangana Public Service Commission has advised the candidates to download the hall tickets from their official website https://www.tspsc.gov.in/.  It has already issued some guidelines on the conduct of examinations. Candidates should not come without a hall ticket. It has been clarified that they should bring the same hall ticket that they took to the examination center on the first day for the rest of the days. But still, 10 percent of candidates have not downloaded the hall tickets. All of them are not participating in protests. It seems that 90 percent of the candidates are worried about the same situation for the third time.

DGP Jitender said that strong arrangements have been made for the Group-1 Mains examination. It has been revealed that special teams are being deployed for inspections at the examination centers. He warned that strict action will be taken if anyone disrupts peace and security. (Maxim News)
