Revanth Reddy Rejects Rs. 100 Crore From Adani

Hyderabad, Nov 25 (Maxim News) Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said that Some forces have been accusing the state government of accepting funds from the Adani Group.  As per the rule, everyone has been given the opportunity to invest legally.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi made it clear that the company that won the bids as per the rules will get the opportunity to invest. Several companies have come forward to provide funds under the Corpus Fund for the Skills University which has been set up by the Telangana government ambitiously.  As part of that, the Adani group came forward and announced Rs 100 crore for the university. Till now, the Telangana government has not taken funds from any company including Adani.

In the wake of the ongoing controversies, the Government wrote a letter stating that the state government is not ready to accept  Rs. 100 crore funds offered by the Adani group. The letter mentioned that Rs. 100 crore should not be transferred to the state government.  Telangana has nothing to do with the controversies surrounding the Adani Company in neighboring states and other countries. The Skills University was started with a good intention and the government did not want to make it controversial. It is the reason, the government decided not to accept a Rs 100 crore fund from Adani.  Appealed to all stop looking at the issue from a political angle and make it controversial.

Media always highlights the cabinet expansion during his Delhi tour every time.  My visit to Delhi today is to attend the wedding of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla’s daughter.  Today’s  Delhi visit has no political significance. Tomorrow, we will discuss the issue that needs to be raised in the Parliament on behalf of the state government with Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs.   Will chalk out an action plan to get funds and permissions which are due to the state. We will meet the available Union Ministers tomorrow seeking to release pending funds and approval of the permissions.

Some forces are counting my Delhi tours. I am not going to Delhi to kneel down before PM Modi like you.  Not going to Delhi to hold someone’s leg to escape from the cases or to ask the governor not to give permission.

Telangana has suffered a lot in the last ten years. It is our right to get funds from the center. The BJP is not giving funds to the state from the party treasury. It is given from the central government treasury. The government will get funds only when we go and meet the union ministers without showing political bias.  We will go to Delhi regularly for funds.  We don’t care about the allegations leveled against us.  This is not the time to show anger and resentment against someone. We will move forward with the development of Telangana with a commitment.  

BRS leaders traveled with Adani on flights.  Will not give anyone undue benefit in terms of investments.  Like KCR, we did not take it from Adani. They entered so many agreements with Adani and are now accusing us.

BJP has been rejected everywhere in the country, said Revanth Reddy he said that he is wondering why the BJP leaders are celebrating. Nanded Lok Sabha was won by the Congress during the Lok Sabha election, but now BJP won it, the credit should go to the local leaders of the BJP, not PM Narendra Modi.  Wayanad has been won by Congress with a majority.  (Maxim News)
