44 Transgenders Clear Physical Tests For Hyderabad Traffic Police
Hyderabad, Dec 5 (Maxim News): A great initiative taken by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to give recognition to the transgenders community in society, orders have been issued to appoint Traffic Assistants in the Hyderabad Traffic Police Department. Anitha Ramachandran, IAS Women and Child Welfare Department, Ravi Gupta IPS Principal Secretary Home Department, CV Anand Commissioner of Police Hyderabad held key meetings with transgenders regarding the recruitment of transgenders and issued orders.

In accordance with the government instructions, events were organized for Traffic Assistants in Hyderabad Police as per the list of candidates given by the Social Welfare Department at Goshamahal Police Ground. This physical event was organized by a recruitment committee formed by DCP South West, Home Guard Commandant, and Additional DCP CAR, in the presence of officials of the Welfare Department. The following events were organized for transgenders. Must be 18 years of age, those above (40) years of age are not eligible. The candidate should be an Indian citizen, at least should have passed SSC, should have a personal identity card issued by the concerned District Magistrate, and should be a local candidate within the limits of Hyderabad Commissionerate.
Transgender women should have a height of 165 cm (160 cm in case of STs), 800 meters running, long jump, and shot-put were conducted. In the recruitment process of transgenders held today, 58 transgenders attended and 44 were selected, out of which 29 female transgenders and 15 male transgenders were recruited.

Addressing them, C V Anand CP Hyderabad said that you should be a role model for your community and bring a good name to the Hyderabad Police and Telangana State Police Department. P Vishwaprasad Additional CP Traffic and other officers participated in this program. (Maxim News)
