Hyderabad, Oct. 8: BIOAGRI 2026, the sixth annual BioAgri Industry Summit, began at Ramoji Film City on Wednesday. The two day summit focuses on sustainable biological agriculture and smart farming technologies.
Dr. J.P. Singh, former Plant Protection Advisor to the Government of India, inaugurated the summit and delivered the keynote address.
The event, organised by the BioAgri Input Producers Association (BIPA), has attracted more than 400 delegates from over 20 states. More than 35 exhibitors are showcasing products and technologies across around 35 exhibition stalls.
BIOAGRI 2026 Focuses on Biological Intelligence
The summit’s theme, “Biological Intelligence & Smart Agriculture”, explores the convergence of biological sciences, technology and farming.
The first day featured sessions on investment opportunities, climate finance, carbon credits and the evolving biological agriculture market.
A CEO panel discussed commercial scaling, quality assurance, microbial stability, regulatory pathways, research partnerships and export opportunities.
Another session focused on soil health, including soil intelligence, biological inputs, mycorrhizal applications, biomass, biochar and carbon credits.
The technology sessions brought together startups, researchers, academia and industry representatives. Discussions covered biotechnology, phytosanitary research, biological products, market outreach and industry collaboration.
The summit also featured an awards ceremony recognising contributions from industry, academia and startups.
A key attraction is the BIPA Startup Challenge 2026. The competition gives early stage companies an opportunity to present biological agriculture solutions before industry leaders, investors and researchers.
BIOAGRI 2026 will continue on October 8 with further expert sessions, industry interactions, exhibitions and networking opportunities.
BIPA represents more than 100 industry members and works on innovation, regulatory cooperation and the wider adoption of biological agricultural solutions.
