As promised, after coming to power, they threw the Dharani into the Bay of Bengal. He said that they are bringing the Bhu Bharati Act in place of the Dharani portal.

Minister Ponguleti introduced the Bhu Bharati Bill in the Assembly on December 18, 2024. Later, Minister Ponguleti started the discussion on the Bhu Bharati Bill.

Speaking on this occasion, he gave clarity that the ROR Act 2020 has been cleaned up and Bhu Bharati has been brought in. He said that changes are being made in the laws brought by the previous government while sitting in the palaces. He recalled that the previous BRS government sat between the four walls and wrought a midnight dharani. With this, land issues that needed to be resolved by the revenue officials also went to court. He said that the Bhu Bharati Bill has been prepared with everyone’s advice and suggestions in mind.

They clarified that they are not removing the Dharani portal with any fanfare.  They clarified that thousands of farmers have suffered because of it, which is why they are removing it.  They said that they have changed the drafts 22-23 times and brought a better Bhu Bharati Bill.  He said that they have taken precautions not to repeat the mistakes made in the past. He said that they are solving the land issues in Part B.  He assured that the government is responsible for protecting the lands like a blind eye. (Maxim News)
