Eatala Rajender | Hyderabad, Oct. 21: Malkajgiri MP Eatala Rajender has announced a padayatra against the Jawahar Nagar dumpyard from October 27. He demanded that the dumpyard be shifted away from populated areas.
Rajender expressed concern over health problems reportedly affecting residents in surrounding areas. He said methane gas released from the dumpyard was a major concern.
The MP announced a meeting with Jawahar Nagar dumpyard victims on October 23. A roundtable meeting with environmentalists and intellectuals will follow on October 25.
Eatala Rajender Demands Permanent Solution to Dumpyard Problem
Rajender called on the government to adopt modern technology for waste management. He also demanded a permanent solution to protect residents living near the dumpyard.
