Later, speaking, she said that the Congress party had stated in its kamareddy declaration that it would provide 42 percent reservation for BCs in local elections. How did they give such a promise when the population of BCs was unknown? She questioned. She said that more than half of the population in BCs. But she said that she does not understand how Congress can say 42 percent. She said that they would hold elections without providing that 42 percent reservation. There are doubts. She said that there will be serious consequences if elections are held without providing 42 percent reservation. She said that protests will be held in Mandal Centers and districts. She said that the BC Commission should give its report and the BC population before considering the elections.  She said that the government should not think about local body elections until then. She said that a huge meeting will held at Indira Park on January 3 on the occasion of Savitribai Phule Jayanti.

She alleged that the Congress government has broken its promise of allocating Rs. 20 thousand crores in the budget to BCs every year.  She said that there are reports that the government is making arrangements to conduct local body elections.  Kavitha said that it is not possible to hold elections without providing clarity on the increase in reservations for BCs, which is the main demand.  (Maxim News)
