Accused Sentenced To Simple Life Imprisonment In Pocso Case
Hyderabad, Jan 3 (Maxim News): In the case of sexual assault on a minor girl, who is the daughter of the deceased, under the jurisdiction of Saroornagar Police Station, in the case, Cr.NO 447/2023, the accused Gundu Anjaiah @ Anji S/o Balaiah, age 40 years, Occupation: Laborer, Caste: Madiga, R/o Government College Near Saroor Nagar, N/o Munanur (v) Gopalpet (m) resident of Mahabubnagar district, has been sentenced to simple life imprisonment under the POCSO Act.
In this case registered under Saroornagar Police Station U/S 376(AB) IPC & sec 5(m)(n) R/w 6 of POCSO Act and Saroornagar Station SC NO 321/2023, Rape and POCSO Act, the Honorable Fast Track Special Judge, L.B. Nagar, Rangareddy District, has convicted the accused today i.e. 03/01/2025. In this case, the accused has been sentenced to simple imprisonment for life and a fine of Rs.30,000/- and the victim has been given a compensation of Rs.15,00,000/-.
