Big Shock To BRS In Karimnagar: Mayor And Corporators To Join BJP

Karimnagar/Hyderabad, Jan 24 (Maxim News): The BRS party has received a big shock in Karimnagar, which is considered a stronghold of the party. Karimnagar Mayor Sunil Rao and 10 corporators belonging to the party will take a dip in the lotus pond. All of them will join the BJP on Saturday (January 25) in the presence of Union Minister Bandi Sanjay.

The people of Karimnagar have supported the BRS party in every election since the time of the Telangana movement. They have also given the party solid victories in the by-elections. In the assembly elections held at the end of 2023, the people of Karimnagar also made the BRS MLA win.

However, in the parliamentary elections held the following year in 2024, the BRS party suffered a major blow in Karimnagar. Bandi Sanjay, the BJP MP from the Parliamentary constituency here, won a landslide victory and became a Union Minister. In this context, the fact that Sunil Rao, a key leader of the party in Karimnagar, is joining the BJP is disturbing the party circles.
