Speaking during the Motion of Thanks to the Governor’s address on Thursday, Owaisi said the Speaker has full authority over the House, but important decisions like suspending a member should involve discussions with floor leaders.

“Whenever there is a disturbance in the House, all floor leaders should be called for a discussion. But that did not happen. No one was given a chance to share their opinion before the suspension,” he said.

Owaisi also raised concerns about the lack of transparency in the Assembly’s functioning. He pointed out that while the House was supposed to reconvene after 15 minutes, it actually resumed after four hours, leaving members waiting without any information.

“We were left outside with no idea when the session would continue,” he added.

He further criticized the Congress government for rushing through the State Budget discussion, saying there wasn’t enough time for a proper debate. He accused the government of squeezing multiple topics into just four days, making the entire process feel like a mere formality rather than a meaningful discussion.
