Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir Promoted To Highest Military Rank Field Marshal

Islamabad/Internet/Hyderabad, May 21 (Maxim News): Pakistan Army chief General Asim Munir has been promoted to the highest military rank, Field marshal, amid tensions with India. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s office announced this on Tuesday.

The cabinet, which met under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Sharif, discussed and approved the proposal to confer the rank of Field Marshal on army Chief Munir.

Local media reported that Munir, who led Pakistani forces to victory during the recent military tensions with India, has been promoted. He has been praised for his unique role in this regard. While Pakistan is boasting about its victory in the war, India has been explaining the facts with evidence at various international forums.
