Hyderabad, 13th Dec,(Maxim News): A Committee comprises of Civil Engineers is to be constituted to check the structural stability and to recommend safety measures to taken on the old buildings, H.W.Mayor Sri.Bonthu Rammohan Said here today.
H.W.Mayor Sri.Bonthu Rammohan along with Commissioner, GHMC Sri. Janardhan Reddy, inspected the site Chandra Lok Complex, Secunderabad, where one person Sri. A. Durgaiah,died due to collapse of roof railing on Monday night. H.W.Mayor Sri.Bonthu Rammohan, has announced an ex-gratia an amount of Rs. 2 Lakhs in addition with Rs.50,000/- under Apadbandu Scheme.
While on inspection, H.W.Mayor Sri.Bonthu Rammohan said, the building was constructed about 40 years back, where about 150 establishments are running their business in the complex. The owners association of the buildings has not taken any precautions or maintenance of the building, causing present situation further he added.
H.W.Mayor Sri.Bonthu Rammohan informed that, the building has seized by the GHMC and disconnected power supply.
To inspect structural stability and to recommend safety measures to taken on the old buildings a committee is to be constituted with civil engineers especially from Osmania and JNTU Universities H.W.Mayor Sri.Bonthu Rammohan said.(Maxim News)
