Modi Recalls Advani’s Political Journey
The Prime Minister recalled Advani’s experiences during Partition and his role in building the Bharatiya Jana Sangh and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Birthday Coincides with Diwali
Modi noted that Advani’s birthday coincides with Diwali this year. He linked the festival with Lord Shri Ram and the tradition of lighting diyas.
The Prime Minister also referred to important milestones in India’s political and organisational history. These included 75 years since the establishment of the Jana Sangh and the 125th birth anniversary of Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee.
He also mentioned the recent centenary celebrations of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
“Shri Lal Krishna Advani Ji enters the hundredth year of his life today, 8th November. This year, his birthday fittingly coincides with Diwali, a festival associated with Prabhu Shri Ram and the Diya,” Modi wrote.
Advani’s Life After Partition

Advani experienced the trauma of Partition in 1947 as a young man. He had to leave behind his familiar surroundings in Sindh.
Modi said Advani rebuilt his life from scratch without bitterness. He described this resilience as a quality that remained evident throughout Advani’s political journey.
The Prime Minister particularly highlighted Advani’s efforts in strengthening the Jana Sangh and building the BJP.
