Hyderabad, June 24 (Maxim News): In a chilling crime that has left Hyderabad residents in shock, a 10th-grade student and her boyfriend have been arrested for allegedly murdering her mother in the Jeedimetla area. The disturbing incident unfolded after the girl’s mother objected to her relationship with the boy, whom she had reportedly met on Instagram.
According to police sources, tensions in the household rose after the teenager began dating the boy. The mother, identified as Anjamma, had tried to intervene and stop the relationship, leading to repeated disputes. In defiance, the girl fled home with her boyfriend, prompting Anjamma to file a missing person’s complaint at Jeedimetla police station.
Tragically, what followed was far worse. On the night of the crime, the girl returned home with her boyfriend. Police allege that as Anjamma slept, the duo—along with the boy’s younger brother—strangled her and fatally struck her on the head with a stick. After committing the murder, the accused fled the scene.
Residents tipped off authorities, enabling police to trace and arrest the suspects quickly. The victim’s body was shifted to Gandhi Hospital for postmortem examination. Police have confirmed that the teenage girl and her accomplices are being questioned as part of the ongoing investigation.
Authorities have assured that the case is being pursued with urgency, as the community reels from the shocking nature of the crime.
