Hyderabad: Yash’s much-awaited film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is recording a strong response in advance bookings ahead of its theatrical release on August 26.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film has generated significant buzz with its blend of action, crime and period drama.
According to advance booking figures shared by industry tracker Sacnilk, Toxic has recorded an all-India gross of approximately ₹24.27 crore so far.
The film has reportedly sold 6,39,966 tickets across 14,104 shows ahead of its release.
Toxic Advance Booking: Hindi and Kannada Markets Lead
The Hindi and Kannada markets have emerged as the biggest contributors to the film’s advance booking revenue.
The Hindi 2D version has recorded around ₹11.06 crore, making it the highest contributor so far.
The Kannada 2D version follows closely with approximately ₹10.99 crore.
Premium formats have also contributed to the advance booking total.
The Hindi IMAX 2D version has recorded around ₹28.57 lakh, while Hindi 4DX has collected approximately ₹22.17 lakh.
On the Kannada side, IMAX 2D has contributed around ₹71.28 lakh, while 4DX has added approximately ₹21.45 lakh.
Toxic Advance Booking Across Other Languages
The film has also registered bookings across several other language versions.
The Tamil 2D version has recorded around ₹44.85 lakh, followed by the Malayalam 2D version with approximately ₹19.11 lakh.
The Telugu 2D version has collected around ₹13.38 lakh, while Hindi Dolby Cine has contributed approximately ₹64,700.
According to the tracker, the film’s gross collection including block seats stands at around ₹32.85 crore.
Yash Leads Toxic Cast
Toxic stars Yash in the lead role, with Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth in key roles.
The film is set against the backdrop of post-independence Goa and follows a gangster caught between loyalty, morality and the search for redemption.
The story reportedly explores themes of violence, jealousy, love and personal redemption, with the film promising an atmospheric setting and intense action sequences.
