Hyderabad, June 27, 2025 (Maxim News): Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will inaugurate the much-awaited P Janardhan Reddy (PJR) Flyover – Phase 2 in Serilingampally on June 28 at 4 PM, bringing major relief to commuters in Hyderabad’s western corridor. The 1.20-kilometre six-lane bi-directional flyover, built at a cost of ₹182.72 crore, is expected to significantly reduce traffic congestion between the Outer Ring Road (ORR) and Kondapur.
Ahead of the inauguration, GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan, Public Accounts Committee Chairman and Serilingampally MLA Arikepudi Gandhi, and senior engineers inspected the flyover and reviewed arrangements. The inauguration site and plaque area were closely examined to ensure smooth coordination for the Chief Minister’s visit.
Key Benefits of the PJR Flyover
Commissioner Karnan highlighted that the new flyover will ease traffic bottlenecks at Gachibowli Junction, improving connectivity to the Financial District, Madhapur, and Shamshabad. The infrastructure project is part of Hyderabad’s broader mission to enhance mobility in high-growth urban corridors.
He added that the flyover will ensure seamless travel between key areas, offering a direct route from ORR to Kondapur and reducing commute times for thousands of daily road users.
Final Preparations Underway
The GHMC has ensured meticulous planning for the CM’s visit, including safety, traffic management, and crowd arrangements. The flyover, developed under the Strategic Road Development Programme (SRDP), is another step towards building future-ready infrastructure for Hyderabad’s rapidly expanding IT and residential zones.
Present during the inspection were Zonal Commissioner Hemant Sahadev Rao, Project CEO Bhaskar Reddy, and other senior engineers and officials.
