J&K/Hyderabad, Aug 2 (Maxim News): It is known that terrorists have recently attacked Kulgam and Anantnag in Jammu and Kashmir. In this context, National Conference Party President Farooq Abdullah has demanded that the details of the terrorists who carried out the attack be disclosed and their identities made public. Farooq questioned where the terrorists are coming from despite taking so many security measures. He spoke to the media on Sunday in the wake of the latest incidents. On this occasion, he criticized the government. Two days ago, terrorists attacked Kulgam and shot dead two migrant workers.
Similarly, a police officer was also shot dead in Anantnag. In this context, there is concern over yet another terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir. Farooq spoke on this. “The government should reveal to the people who are doing these murders. They only said that they were killed by terrorists. The real question is how the terrorists are actually entering the country even though the borders are closed. To show that the Lieutenant Governor’s comments that terrorism has ended in the Kashmir Valley are wrong, the real nature of the murderers needs to be revealed. Not only us.. but the whole world should look at the terrorists. Has terrorism ended..? See how the situation has changed,” Farooq Abdullah commented. On the other hand, it is known that in 2019, the central government revoked Article 370 and removed the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. It removed the statehood and divided it into a union territory. It created two union territories, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. Farooq Abdullah also objected to this and demanded that the Centre restore the statehood status to Jammu and Kashmir.
Farooq also condemned the ongoing genocide in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK). Last week, more than 50 people were killed when the Pakistani government opened fire on protesters there against the Pakistani government. Farooq said, “Our brothers are in PoJK. It is painful to see the conditions they are facing. The United Nations has a human rights commission. They should send a team and see what is happening there. It is surprising that the whole world is silent on this issue. Our country is also not saying anything about this,” Farooq said.(Maxim News)
