Adilabad/Hyderabad, June 29 (Maxim News): In a major road accident early Saturday morning, a private passenger bus traveling from Hyderabad to Amaravati in Maharashtra overturned near Gudihathnoor in Adilabad district, leaving 25 passengers injured, including one in critical condition.
According to initial reports, the incident occurred when the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle, causing it to skid off the road and overturn. The cause of the accident is yet to be officially determined, and authorities have launched an investigation.
The injured passengers were quickly transported to Adilabad RIMS Hospital with the help of 108 emergency ambulances, where they are currently receiving medical treatment. Hospital officials confirmed that one passenger sustained serious injuries and is under close observation.
Police are probing all possible angles, including driver fatigue, speeding, and technical failure, as potential reasons behind the accident.
The mishap has raised fresh concerns over road safety and the condition of private transport services operating long-distance routes across Telangana and adjoining states.
Local authorities have urged bus operators to ensure vehicle fitness, driver rest periods, and adherence to speed limits to avoid similar tragedies in the future.
