Chennai/Hyderabad, July 11, 2025 — National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval issued a strong rebuttal to what he termed as false propaganda by foreign media, firmly denying claims that India suffered losses during the recent Pakistani attacks. Speaking at the 62nd convocation of IIT Madras, Doval challenged critics to present even a single image showing damage on Indian soil, stating that none exists because India effectively countered the offensive.
Addressing the audience, Doval detailed the success of Operation Sindoor, claiming that Indian forces destroyed 30 Pakistani air bases in a precision strike based on accurate intelligence about terrorist camps across the border. “Only photos of 13 destroyed airbases in Pakistan have surfaced. Not a single credible image shows Indian losses,” he asserted.
India’s Missile Defense Praised
Ajit Doval also highlighted the success of India’s air defense capabilities, revealing that the Fateh-11 ballistic missiles launched by Pakistan towards Delhi were intercepted by the S-400 system, a critical component of India’s modernized defense infrastructure. “Our forces shot down all incoming threats efficiently. In just 23 minutes, we neutralized nine enemy targets. That’s the strength of the new India,” he declared.
Push for Atmanirbhar Bharat in Defence
The NSA emphasized the government’s focus on self-reliance in defense manufacturing under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative. He noted that India is rapidly indigenizing critical military technologies to reduce dependency and boost preparedness for future threats. “We are investing in indigenous capabilities so that we can respond swiftly, decisively, and independently in any war-like situation,” Doval said.
Foreign Media Criticized for Disinformation
Ajit Doval strongly criticized international outlets for allegedly spreading misinformation and attempting to undermine India’s strategic advantage. “The international media must act responsibly. There is a difference between free press and misleading propaganda,” he warned.
His remarks come amid heightened tensions between India and Pakistan and growing scrutiny of military actions from global observers.
