Finance Firm Accused of Duping Job Seekers in Adilabad; Complaint Filed with SP
Adilabad/Hyderabad, July 16 (Maxim News): In a shocking incident from Adilabad district, dozens of unemployed youth have lodged a formal complaint against a private finance company and its alleged operator, Jadav Krishna, accusing them of fraudulently collecting ₹20,000 each under the pretense of providing jobs.
The victims, who submitted their complaint to Superintendent of Police Akhil Mahajan on Wednesday, alleged that Krishna promised employment opportunities through a digital micro-finance company with offices in Adilabad and Utnoor mandal.
According to the complainants, nearly 300 unemployed individuals were lured with the promise of immediate job placements in the company’s branches. Believing the claims, they paid the required fee — only to later discover that both the Adilabad and Utnoor offices were locked and vacated without notice.
Victims Demand Swift Action
Shocked and outraged, the victims staged a protest outside the finance firm’s premises, demanding justice and compensation. They urged the police to register a cheating case against Jadav Krishna and conduct a thorough investigation into the alleged scam.
“We trusted him with the hope of earning a livelihood. Now, we are left with nothing,” said one of the protestors. Others echoed similar concerns, calling for immediate legal action to prevent further exploitation of jobless youth.
Police Investigation Underway
Superintendent of Police Akhil Mahajan assured the complainants that the matter would be investigated and action would be taken as per the law. Preliminary inquiries have begun, and authorities are verifying the legitimacy of the company’s operations and Krishna’s involvement.
This incident has raised serious questions about the unchecked activities of fraudulent firms exploiting vulnerable unemployed individuals, especially in rural and semi-urban areas. (Maxim News)
