The collaboration officially kicks off with their ongoing joint project at the 500 MW Chitravati Pumped Storage Project by Adani Green Energy in Peddakota, Sri Sathya Sai District, Andhra Pradesh. The MoU was signed by Mr. Siby Lukos, Founder and Managing Director of Siby Mining, and Dr. Sripad R. Naik, Director (Additional Charge) of NIRM, in a ceremony held today.

A Powerful Alliance to Revolutionize Rock Engineering

This strategic partnership aims to combine NIRM’s scientific expertise in rock mechanics with Siby Mining’s practical excellence in controlled blasting to tackle complex geological challenges across India. The collaboration will focus on improving project outcomes through safe, accurate, and innovative blasting techniques in sectors such as mining, highways, tunnels, and large-scale infrastructure.

“This MoU comes at a crucial time when India’s infrastructure and mining sectors demand advanced solutions for difficult terrains,” said Mr. Siby Lukos. “With over 20–30 million tonnes of coal locked due to geological barriers, precision blasting can unlock massive untapped resources.”
