Hyderabad Realtor Dies by Suicide Amid Real Estate Losses
Hyderabad: A 47-year-old realtor, M Venkateshwarlu, died by suicide at his flat in Sai Priya Colony, Injapur, on Thursday night, reportedly due to financial stress linked to his struggling real estate business.
Venkateshwarlu, who lived with his wife and two children in Prashanth Hills Colony, Meerpet, was into real estate and construction projects across Hyderabad. Over the past few months, he had been reportedly depressed over mounting losses and business slowdown in the sector.
On Thursday, he is believed to have ended his life by hanging, leaving behind a suicide note citing financial hardship as the reason.
Following a complaint from his wife, Meerpet police have registered a case and begun an investigation.
