Hyderabad, July 18 (Maxim News): Union Minister Kishan Reddy has accused the previous Telangana government of failing to provide land for the proposed Warangal airport, despite repeated requests from the Centre.
Speaking at a press conference at the BJP office in Hyderabad, Kishan Reddy said, “There are no airports in other cities of Telangana except Hyderabad. The Centre was ready, but the former state government did not cooperate.”
He highlighted the Centre’s ongoing development projects:
- Kazipet Coach Factory construction is progressing rapidly.
- The Kazipet unit is being expanded to manufacture engines, not just coaches and wagons.
- Budget allocation increased from ₹200 crore to ₹400 crore for this purpose.
- The Kazipet railway industry is expected to create around 3,000 jobs.
In addition, Kishan Reddy said:
- New direct trains will be introduced to Jodhpur, Kutch, and Ahmedabad.
- MMTS services will be extended up to Yadagirigutta, with tenders for the project already completed.
