Bonalu Festival On July 20 And 21: Police Issues Traffic Advisory

Hyderabad, July 18 (Maxim News): In connection with the Bonalu Festival on July 20 and 21 the following traffic diversions will be made in Hyderabad City.

Traffic Diversions For Simhavahini Sri Mahakali Lal Darwaza Bonalu Processions At Old City 

On 21-07-2025, From 11.00 Hrs To 23.00 Hrs.

1. The Traffic coming from Enginebowli, Falaknuma will not be allowed towards Aliyabad, and it will be diverted at the new Shamsheergunj “T” junction towards Goshala, Tadban or Goshala Misri Gunj, Khilwath.

2. The Traffic coming from MBNR x Road is not allowed towards Aliyabad, and it will be diverted at Engine Bowli towards –Jahanuma, Goshala, Tadban or Goshala Misri Gunj, Khilwath.

3. The Traffic coming from Nagulchinta and Sudha Talkies is not allowed towards Lal Darwaza Temple and it will be diverted at Nehru Mode towards Sudha Talkies via Gowlipura. 

4. The traffic coming from Gowlipura towards Lal Darwaza mode will be diverted at Sudha Talkies towards Mirchowk via Hari Bowli.

5. Traffic coming from Pancha Mohalla (Charminar) will not be allowed towards Nagulchinta, it will be diverted towards Hari Bowli, Voulga Hotel and Misrigunj.

6. The Traffic coming from Rajanna Bowli towards Lal Darwaza temple will be diverted at Venkateshwara swamy temple (Baba Bar) lane towards Ramaswamy gunj.

7. The Traffic coming from Kandikal gate will not be allowed towards Lal Darwaza Temple road and it will be diverted at OP Chatrinaka PS “Y” junction towards Gowlipura.

8. The Traffic coming from Balaganj will not be permitted towards Lal Darwaza Temple and it will be diverted at Laxmi Devi Pan shop towards Nehru Statue Nagulchinta Junction.   

9. The Traffic coming from Uppuguda and Chatrinaka side via. Gowlipura will not be allowed towards Mohammed Shukoor mosque, and it will be diverted at Balraj Jewelers point Gowlipura X roads towards Moghalpura Police Station.

10. The Traffic coming from Kandikal gate flyover to Chatrinaka OP it will be diverted towards VN Reddy Kaman and Uppuguda Janda

11. The Heavy vehicle coming from Old Chandrayangutta to Chatrinaka vehicles should not be allowed and it will be diverted towards Santoshnagar and Chandrayangutta.

12. The Traffic coming from Fateh Darwaza will not be allowed towards Himmatpura X Roads/ Rajesh Medical Hall and it will be diverted at Volga Hotel “T” Junction towards Khilwath road.

13. Traffic coming from Gowlipura will not be allowed towards Sudha Theater and will be diverted at Mohammed shukur mosque towards Mirchowk via Volta Hotel, Moghalpura and Ethabar chowk.

14. Traffic coming from Chatrinaka OP towards Gowlipura it will be diverted at Gandhi Statue towards Sri Ram Nagar colony, CIB Quarters, Sultan Shahi, Lalitha bagh and Moghalpura

15. The Traffic coming from Meer-ka-Daira and Moghalpura will not be allowed towards Hari Bowli “X” Roads and it will be diverted towards Moghalpura WaterTank area.

16. The Traffic coming towards Charminar main road from Asra Hospital side and Moghalpura WaterTank will not be allowed & will be diverted towards Bibi Bazar.

17. The Traffic coming from Bhavani Nagar and Mirjumla Talab will not be allowed towards Charminar and will be diverted at Bibi Bazar X Roads towards Alijah Kotla (MiralamMandi road).

18. The Traffic coming from Alijha Kotla / Moghalpura areas towards Charminar via Sardar Mahal road will be diverted at Chowk Maidan Khan towards Hafiz Danka Masque / Arman Hotel via Sri Gayatri Collage and Alijha Kotla. 

19. The Traffic coming from Yakutpura will not be allowed towards Gulzar House and it will be diverted at Etabar chowk towards Mir Alam Mandi and Alijha Kotla road.

20. The Traffic coming from Purani Haveli towards Tipu Khana Masjid via Chatta Bazar will be diverted at Lakkad Kote ”X” -Roads towards APAT Junctionsor Dar-ul-Shifa.

21. The Traffic coming from Chaderghat / Noorkhan Bazar / S.J rotary / Shivaji Bridge will not be allowed towards Salarjung Museum road and it will be diverted at S.J Rotary towards Purani Haveli road, Shivaji Bridge and Chaderghat.

22. The Traffic coming from Khilwath road or Moosabowli road will not be allowed towards Laad Bazar and it will be diverted at Motigalli “T” junction towards Khilwat Play ground or Moosa Bowli. 

23. The Traffic coming from Bandi ke adda and Ghansi bazaar will not be allowed towards Gulzar House and it will be diverted at Mitte-Ke-Sher (Sher-E-Batul Kaman) towards Ghansi Bazar and Chelapura. 

24. The traffic coming from Ghansi bazaar and Chelapura will not be allowed towards Chakram Adda and it will be diverted at Ghansi Bazar towards Chelapura.

25. The Traffic coming from Puranapul, Good will Hotel and Moosabowli will not be allowed towards Nayapool via, High Court Gate No-1 along the Musi River and it will be diverted at Muslimjung Bridge towards– Bhoolaxmi Temple- Begum Bazar- Chatri. 

26. The Traffic coming from Gowliguda and Siddiamber Bazar towards Nayapool will be diverted at Afzalgunj towards Muslimjung Bridge via Osmania General Hospital back side road along the Musi River or Shivaji Bridge. 

27. The Main road between Madina X -Roads to Engine Bowli, Via Gulzar House – Charminar monuments, Charminar Busterminal, Himmatpura, Nagulchinta, Aliabad will be closed for all types of vehicular movement till the conclusion of Bonalu processions.

The TG & APSRTC buses will not be allowed towards Charminar, Falaknuma and Nayapool side and it will be terminating at old CBS, Afzalgunj, Darulshifa X Roads, Chatrinaka and Engine Bowli and will take alternate routes open to them.

Traffic Diversions At Mahankali Temple, Amberpet, Hyderabad On 20-07-2025 From 06.00 AM TO 22-07-2025 AT 06.00 AM.

1. All vehicles including District buses, City buses and heavy vehicles vehicular traffic coming from Uppal intended to go towards Chaderghat & MGBS will be allowed on Amberpet Flyover. 

2. All vehicles including heavy vehicles, DCMs, district, and city buses—coming from Chaderghat and MGBS will pass over the Amberpet flyover.

3. Devotees who are intended to go to the temple will be allowed under a flyover towards Gandhi Statue – Amberpet GHMC Ground and park their vehicles inside the ground.

4. The commuters intending to go towards 6 No Junction and Moosarambagh will be diverted to C.P.L. Amberpet – Saldhana Gate  towards Amberpet T Junction & Ali Cafe X Roads and the return route will be vice-versa.

Alternate Route

1. If the traffic is heavy at Amberpet flyover the general traffic coming from Uppal intended to go towards Amberpet T Junction & Ali Cafe will be diverted at Royal Juice Corner – Mallikarjuna Nagar – D.D. Colony – Syndicate Bank – Shivam Road – Tilaknagar.  

2. If the traffic is heavy at Saldanha Gate the general vehicular traffic intended to go towards Uppal will be diverted at Ali Cafe towards HMWSSB – Nagole Road. 

Traffic Diversion At Sri Katta Maisamma– Pochamma Temple, Chilkalguda Bonalu Festival-2025 From 20.07.2025 And 21.07.2025

Large number of devotees are expected to attend this temple for the Bonalu festival from the nearby localities of Chilakalguda and surrounding areas FOR Ghatam/Thotela on 20.07.2025 and Palaharambandi with Pothuraju on 21.07.2025 from 6 AM to 11 PM. The commuters are advised to take the following roads and avoid movement towards Shri. Katta Maisamma – Pochamma Temple, Chilkalguda on 20.07.2025 and 21.07.2025 from 5 AM to 11 PM.

Diversion Points From 20th And 21st July 2025 From 6 AM TO 11 PM.

1. The vehicles coming from Seethaphalmandi Junction towards Chilkalguda X Road will be diverted towards Namalagundu – Warasiguda X Road and Seethaphalmandi T Junction, OU City Road – Tarnaka X road.

2. The vehicles coming from Allugadabavi & Secunderabad from Chilkalguda X Road towards Seethaphalmandi will be diverted towards Padmarao Nagar T Junction.
