Miryalaguda, July 22, 2025 (Maxim News): A Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) bus was set on fire by unidentified miscreants at midnight in Tadakamalla village, located in Miryalaguda mandal of Nalgonda district.
The incident took place when bus number TS 05Z 0047, belonging to the Miryalaguda depot, was parked overnight at the village’s main bus junction. According to reports, unknown persons targeted the rear of the stationary bus, triggering a fire that quickly spread and gutted the rear section, including its tires.
Alerted by the smoke, the driver and conductor, who were nearby, immediately informed the local police and fire services. Fire personnel rushed to the scene and managed to extinguish the blaze before it could cause further damage or spread to nearby areas.
Fortunately, there were no casualties reported in the incident. However, the damage to the bus is substantial, and the police have launched an investigation to identify and nab the culprits behind this act of arson.
Authorities are also examining CCTV footage from nearby areas, and a case has been registered under relevant sections of the IPC. The motive behind the attack is yet to be established.
